What This Skill Does

Java SDK for querying Azure Monitor data. Supports Kusto queries against Log Analytics workspaces and fetching metrics from Azure resources using LogsQueryClient and MetricsQueryClient. Note: this package is deprecated; migrate to azure-monitor-query-logs and azure-monitor-query-metrics.

Using the SDK handles authentication, pagination, and response deserialization automatically, avoiding the manual HTTP and token management required when calling the Azure Monitor REST API directly.

When to use it

  • Running Kusto queries against a Log Analytics workspace from a Java application
  • Fetching CPU or memory metrics for an Azure VM over a custom time range
  • Batching multiple log queries into a single API call to reduce round trips
  • Mapping Log Analytics query results directly to Java model classes
  • Querying metrics across multiple Azure resources in one request
