Azure AI Text Analytics SDK for Python wraps the Azure AI Language service REST API. It covers sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, PII detection and redaction, key phrase extraction, language detection, and healthcare NLP.
Running all these NLP tasks through a single authenticated client with batch support is faster to set up than chaining separate models or libraries, and avoids managing model hosting entirely.
When to use it
- Scanning customer support tickets for sentiment and flagging negative ones
- Redacting SSNs, emails, and phone numbers from uploaded documents before storage
- Extracting medical conditions and medications from clinical notes with UMLS linkage
- Detecting the language of incoming user messages to route them to the right support team
