Setup & Installation
What This Skill Does
Manages MongoDB Atlas Stream Processing pipelines through the MongoDB MCP Server. Covers workspace provisioning, connection setup for Kafka, Atlas clusters, S3, HTTPS, and Lambda, plus processor lifecycle, debugging, and tier sizing.
Encodes ASP-specific gotchas like region name mapping, single-sink constraints, and invalid constructs such as $$NOW so pipelines deploy correctly the first time instead of failing with cryptic Atlas API errors.
When to use it
- Rolling up Kafka event streams into Atlas collections with tumbling windows
- Streaming change events from an Atlas cluster to an S3 archive bucket
- Debugging a FAILED processor stuck in restart loops with diagnose-processor
- Chaining processors to fan out one source to both Atlas and Kafka sinks
- Enriching events mid-pipeline with AWS Lambda via $externalFunction
