What This Skill Does
Analyzes screens in a Stitch project and writes a DESIGN.md file that captures the visual design system in natural language. It extracts color palettes, typography, component styles, and layout principles from screen HTML and metadata, translating technical Tailwind values into descriptive terms Stitch can use when generating new screens.
Reading through HTML and Tailwind classes to reconstruct a coherent design language is slow and error-prone — this skill does it in one pass and produces a structured file Stitch accepts directly as prompt context.
When to use it
- Capturing a Stitch project's color roles and hex codes in a single reference file
- Translating Tailwind border-radius and spacing classes into design-prompt-ready language
- Documenting typography hierarchy from existing Stitch screen HTML before adding new screens
- Building a shared DESIGN.md so multiple Stitch-generated screens stay visually consistent
- Extracting shadow and elevation patterns from a designed screen for use in future prompts
