Classifies a WordPress codebase at the start of a task and routes to the correct workflow or skill. It detects whether the repo is a plugin, classic theme, block theme, Gutenberg block, or WP core checkout, then delegates to the relevant domain tools and guardrails.
Instead of manually scanning composer.json, package.json, style.css, and block.json to figure out what kind of WordPress project you're in, this skill runs a triage script and maps the result to the right workflow automatically.
When to use it
- Routing a block theme repo to the correct theme.json and FSE workflow
- Detecting whether a repo uses WP-CLI before running scaffolding commands
- Classifying a new repo before deciding which test runner to configure
- Narrowing down the right REST API workflow for a plugin that mixes custom endpoints and blocks
